Mark + Gabi: Married

As promised here is the first posting with many more to follow of our past weddings. We thought we would start off with Mark & Gabi’s wedding. Those who follow our blog may remember their eSession photographed in Port Perry. They had a beautiful wedding ceremony at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa followed by a wonderful reception at the Doctor’s House in Kleinburg. Here are some highlights from their wedding.

We are heading out first thing Sunday morning to join Melissa & Ben in Mexico for their Destination Wedding. Laura and I will be out of the office with no access to voicemail and email until December 1st. We will reply to your email and voicemail messages when we return.

Melissa & Ben’s eSession slideshow

We met Melissa back in January at our first bridal show and Ben shortly after. This awesome couple have planned a beautiful destination wedding in the Mayan Riviera and are bringing Laura and I along to capture their week of wedding celebrations. To get Melissa & Ben warmed up to having two photographers around them for a week we made our way to High Park in Toronto for an Autumn eSession. High Park was great because we were able to include their sweet dog Barney who had a blast playing around in all the fallen leaves. It was a perfect fall afternoon spent in the park with a really fun couple but I think I can speak for all of us and say “we are definitely looking forward to a much warmer wedding day”

Andrea & Dave’s eSession

We met Andrea & Dave back in February and thought they were such a sweet, cute couple. Laura & I were excited to learn that were going to be part of their wedding day. First we needed to get out and capture some fun engagement photos though. We tossed around a few ideas and locations for their eSession via email, which ended up bringing us to a great park in Oakville. After having to reschedule because of all the rain we received this Summer we finally made it out a few weeks ago. I’m so glad we postponed their shoot because we ended up having fantastic weather and beautiful evening light! Here are some highlights from their eSession.

I am finally back in the office from our whirlwind visit to Hong Kong and China which was followed by a number weddings and portrait sessions. Thanks to everyone who wished us a safe trip. I can’t wait to share highlights from our amazing adventure once we get a chance to go through all the images we captured.

WooHoo… We are China Bound!

After spending an amazing day shooting Leah & Nick’s gorgeous wedding followed by a late night session of backing up all their images for safe keeping we are exhausted and off to the airport. We are pumped none the less! We are heading to Hong Kong for a couple days then over to Beijing for a visit with my father. Laura and I will be out of the office with no access to voicemail and very limited access to email until August 6th. We will reply to everyone’s email and voicemail messages when we return.

New addition’s to our camera bag

With so many great assignments booked this year we decided to pick up a couple new tools. First, a compact camera with lots of options and control for when we want to pack light. And second, a super bright and fast wide angle lens for all those low light situations.

I had a little fun today with the new gear. The shot of the Canon G9 was captured with the new 35mm lens on a 5D and the new lens was shot with the G9.

Man, I can’t wait to use these new bad boys in China!
